The CEA (Centre d'Energie Atomique) is an international organisation specialising in technological research.  The CEA Liten, based at Grenoble, is reputed for its research into new technologies aimed at developing new forms of energy for transport and applications in the home (Solar power, batteries etc)

The University Joseph Fourier (UJF) is one of the leading French universities for science technology and health. The UJF is a specialist in environmental sciences (training and research). The organisation includes 70 laboratories and 19,000 students. In terms of technology transfer, the university's assets include a portfolio of over 500 patents, and 25 start-ups that have been created over the past ten years.

Floralis is the technology transfer subsidiary of the University Joseph Fourier . The company is a commercial intermediary that connects public research laboratories with Industry in order to facilitate the transfer of technology and transform raw technologies into innovative products.
